Beautiful blue floral ceramic earrings. Each earring has been hand shaped and textured with a sweet floral and foliage motif – handcarved into a ceramic stamp by the artist using a sgraffito technique.
These blue jewels pop on their simple, easy wear, 14k gold filled hooks. A wearable pair of ceramic art: vivid blue on the face, raw black clay on the reverse. Lightweight and comfortable for all-day wear.

How they’re made
Each earring begins as a piece of fine Australian black clay, hand-shaped and textured with a ceramic stamp – which was hand carved using a Sgraffito process. Sgraffito (from the Italian word for “scratched”) is a ceramic technique where a design is carved through a surface layer.
A special glaze is applied by brush, which fires to rich layers of blue. The finished surface shifts from deep blue-black at the edges to a lighter, brighter blue at the centre — and the carved floral lines create a pretty textural detail. The underside of each earring is left unglazed, showing the natural black clay body.
